EON SURGICAL TO PRESENT ITS MINIMALLY INVASIVE LAPAROSCOPIC TECHNOLOGY AT THE 19th EAES INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

Tel – Aviv, Israel, June 5th, 2011 – Eon Surgical (a RAD Biomed Accelerator portfolio company) announced today that it has been invited to present at the “Amazing Technologies” session in the 19th International Congress of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), which will be held in Torino, Italy from the 15th to the 18th of June, 2011. Dr. Yoav Mintz, Director of the Department of General Surgery in Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem, will present at EAES the first full pre-clinical procedure to be conducted with the InterTipTM.
Eon Surgical is developing the InterTipTM Platform, a breakthrough technology for scarless laparoscopic procedures based on a unique concept that combines a needlescopic approach and interchangeable tips. The InterTipTM provides surgeons with a simple and intuitive method to combine the clinical advantages of both micro-laparoscopy and Single-Port-Access, conducting a full scarless surgery while preserving traditional techniques. The company will soon complete its pre-clinical trials and plans on starting its regulation process in the second half of 2011.
