RAD BIOMED ACCELERATOR ADDS PLEXICURE TO ITS PORTFOLIO

Tel – Aviv, Israel, January 1st,  2011 – RAD BioMed, a leading success-accelerator for Israeli life science startups, today announced that  it has added Plexicure, a new biopharma company that will be developed as a joint venture with Israeli venture capital firm Pontifax , in partnership with Roche AG (SWX: RO).

Plecxicure will be developing novel therapeutic antibodies with anti-angiogenic and anti-proliferative properties, based on technologies developed at the Rappaport Family Institute for Research in the Medical Sciences at the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa.

Plexicure received approval for funding from the OCS Incubator program, and will start operations in March 2011
